What happened to Andy on the Canadian baking show?

Born in La Belle province, Andy is an immigrant who speaks a mix of English, French, and Vietnamese with his parents in the house. He now incorporates all of his culture into baking.

Andy, a nurse practitioner working in mental health, unplugs by playing around cooking or baking.

He prefers new techniques and tastes, which he tests thoroughly before discarding. There’s no room for any failures in his life.

While not in the kitchen, he enjoys singing karaoke songs with his family or playing tennis at a Tennis Court.

He got his cooking and baking ideas from watching cooking competition shows like MasterChef.

When he finished his bachelor’s degree in 2016 and wanted to start new interests, he made his first attempt at baking. Since then, cooking has never left him.

He has no particular reputation. He is often asked to surprise people. He combines intriguing flavors using the abilities and methods he has acquired throughout the years.

He has never let anyone down with the baked goods he has brought to work or gatherings.

Knowing that the Canadian baking show is a competition, he believed his competitive side would surface and he would look for a small flaw and keep trying it until he reached the finish line and was satisfied.

What happened to Andy on the Canadian baking show?

Andy went missing on the second day of the start of the show. The audience was just given the information that he wouldn’t be there to continue baking.

Fans quickly predicted that he may have left out of embarrassment, Considering how poorly his first day went baking.

He updated on his Instagram that he was out due to personal reasons. He didn’t provide any other details. Some fans also suspected that he had covid.

About the Canadian baking show

Bakers, each coming from different parts of Canada, form ten amateur baking contestants who enter into themed baking challenges in every season of this show.

Adapted from The Great British Bake Off, each episode features three rounds: the Signature Bake, The Technical Challenge, and the Showstopper. 

The two judges taste and evaluate all the entries and subsequently choose a Star Baker for the week and send another participant home.

Each season concludes with the final three bakers competing for the title of being crowned champion of The Great Canadian Baking Show and receiving the prestigious GCBS cake stand.

Production of the show 

This show was filmed at the Canadian Film Center’s campus in Toronto during the middle of summertime.

Season one was aired in November, while the other two seasons, the second and third, were launched in September on CBC. Executive Producer- CATHIE JAMES. Series Producers: MARIKE EMERY- SEASONS 1-4; MARK VEN DE VEN – SEASON 5.

As a “big fan” of the original show, Levy claimed he ”chased” the opportunity of hosting the inaugural season.

The Canadian Broadcast Company Television Network (CBC) revealed on February 7, 2018, that the show had been commissioned for a second season, with all the judges and hosts also making a comeback.

In 2019, it was announced that the series would be getting a third season as judges Kyla Kennaley joined and new hosts were also added, Aurora Browne and Carolyn Taylor. 

For airing in 2020, the series was renewed for a fourth season. Still, the covid 19 pandemic affected the production of that same season.

It delayed it from airing before, then finally released in 2021. The same judges and hosts were used in the fifth season, which took place in 2021.
