Strikes: School closure information

Tens of thousands of trade union members across our area are planning to strike on November 30th as part of the TUC's Day of Action.

Many teachers and lecturers are due to take part in the strike meaning that some schools and colleges in Wiltshire may be forced to close.

Leisure centres across Wiltshire are also offering parents help with childcare for Wednesday November 30th.

Centres at Devizes, Salisbury, Marlborough, Tisbury and Amesbury are offering sessions from 8.30am to 5.30pm incorporating activities such as:
*    Bouncy castle
*    Team games/challenges
*    Football
*    Arts and crafts
*    Racket sports
*    Parachute games

The Camp Activate sessions are for children aged five to 14 and are bookable as either a full or half day. Places will need to be booked in advance and sessions will only go ahead if there is enough interest.
