American Bandstand host Dick Clark died in Santa Monica, Calif., Wednesday, at the age of 82. He had been in fragile health since suffering a major stroke several years ago. Remembering Kobe Bryant: The Life of the NBA Star in Pictures

Former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, died on Jan. 26, 2020, following a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. According to the LA County Sheriff's Office, there were nine people on the helicopter -- a pilot and eight passengers -- and no survivors. Kobe is survived by his wife, Vanessa, and their three other daughters, Natalia, Bianka and Capri.  Kobe played with the Los Angeles Lakers for all 20 seasons of his career, which included being an 18-time All-Star and 15-time member of the All-NBA Team.
